Safety Surfacing

Our designers and engineers are always available to work with our customers in selecting the best playground surfacing for their needs.

We make sure the selected playground surfacing meets or exceeds the minimum shock absorbency requirements for the critical fall height of the playground equipment, by following the safety guidelines from US CPSC, ASTM F1292 and F1487. We serve all communities in Southern California, including San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, Imperial and Orange County, so for your next playground project, please contact us today and we will be happy to arrange a no-obligation, free consultation meeting to discuss the details of your project!

PIP Rubberized Surfacing

Our PIP (Poured-in-Place) rubberized surfacing products are available in a variety of colors and patterns and can accommodate irregular shaped playgrounds, including climbing mounds and embankment slides. Our PIP designs are customized to suit the theme of your upcoming playground with beautiful and colorful layouts. We also offer interlocking rubber tiles for a different look. Both of these options are mostly maintenance-free and offer a premium protection from falls and a fun aesthetic for the play environment.

Engineered wood fiber (EWF)

Engineered wood fiber (EWF), also known as playground wood chips, is a popular type of playground surfacing due to their low initial cost, ease of installation, local availability and low lifetime overall cost. This is an ideal source of playground surfacing for commercial installations at public schools, parks, churches and homeowner’s associations due to its low cost mentioned, ease of installation and low lifetime overall cost when compared to synthetic playground surfacing. We recommend installing EWF to a depth of 12″, providing ADA access to playgrounds when compacted and maintained properly.

Synthetic turf

also known as artificial turf or artificial grass, in combination with a properly installed cushion layer such as shock pads, is a natural choice for playground surfacing that looks like natural grass while providing a safe and durable resilient surface underneath playground equipment. Synthetic turf can be installed over asphalt, concrete or a properly compacted aggregate base, creating a beautiful and natural look to the playground.
