Scripps Exploring Academy needed a little something for its kiddos. While the preschool features an excellent education system with 12 programs for children aged from infancy to five years old, there was just something missing. The Academy required a playground that not only provided a safe play environment but one that offered the necessary challenge and fun needed for developing youngsters.
When Pacific Play Systems entered the site, Sales Representative Anna Goodson found a playground that was limited to a Little Tikes playground and a tricycle track. It was time for a change.
1st Design
During the design phase, Project Manager Salina Tuladhar designed a Playcraft Playground that satisfied the safety requirements for 2-to-5-year-old toddlers. It consisted of climbers, slides, tri steps, roto-molded disc climbers, and an inclusive transfer station for the play structure. While the playground equipment was fun and safe, the Academy felt that it didn’t provide enough challenge for its students.
2nd Design
The overall color scheme incorporated for this play structure reflected its San Diego location with its pacific blue, lime green, and gull grey colors. The poured-in-place (PIP) rubber surfacing complemented the color aesthetic. Scripps Learning Academy was pleased with their new playground and are glad that it will delight its students for many years to come!
