A new custom design playground structure has recently been completed in the City of Fontana’s Gabriella Park. Pacific Play was honored to receive the Gabriella Park project and was even more excited to announce the completion of this new project. An action-packed custom-designed playground structure, manufactured by Playcraft Systems, was the project’s central focus. Along with the structure, the scope of work also included a Dual Ultra-Zip, a variety of natural boulders, a large shade structure, and engineered wood fibers.
The new playground for Gabriella Park is designed specifically for children ages 5-12 with a forest colored-scheme. Some of these components include an exciting six-foot-tall Triple Twister Slide and Spiral Slide, an ever-popular Poly Double Slide with Hood, Arch Climber, Disc Climber, and a Horizontal Ladder Traverse. The play structure also offers two ground-level Playseats where children can relax and socialize with their friends. The project also boasts other fun events including the freestanding Spin Max Tower, the Toddler Buggy, and a Motorcycle Spring Ride… activities for all!
In addition to the custom playground structure, Pacific Play was thrilled to install several ID Sculpture components. Some of these components include the Timber Sandstone Combo, Balance Log, Transition Boulder, Sandstone Boulder, and Stepping Forms. ID Sculpture provides amazing rock and boulder-based playgrounds giving play areas an enticing look, thus creating play environments that bring communities together.
One of the most exciting events of this project is the Dual Ultra-Zip. This Dual Ultra-Zip features a declining slope for take-off for kids with an incline at the end for a gradual stop which adds new adventure to the playground. Children can get non-stop fun from this two-way thrill ride!
Surfacing is equally important in a play area. We always want the children to be safe. Having said that, engineered wood fibers were also brought in for the project. The fibers that Pacific Play provides have been tested by ASTM for safety and are considered as one of the most cost-effective playground surfaces available.
Shade is also a vital part of a playground. Protecting children from UV rays is extremely important. We want all park participants to get as much shade as possible. During summer days, the City of Fontana gets very hot. So keeping this in mind, Pacific Play installed Multi-Triangular Shade Sails to provide adequate shade for all!
Lastly, Pacific Play was very pleased to work on this project by being able to bring such a unique collection of fun elements to the play space. The new custom design playground at Gabriella Park will definitely bring excitement and increase play value to the local residents for years to come!
