Pacific Play Renovates Orange Glen Elementary School with Multiple Play Structures
A variety of new school playground equipment has just been furnished and installed by Pacific Play Systems at Orange Glen Elementary School in Escondido, California. The installation of new school playground equipment occurred as part of a larger renovation project currently taking place at Orange Glen, including the development of a brand new courtyard, track, bioswale, underground utility improvements, and various demolition work. Pacific Play was selected out of numerous companies to supply and install the new school playground equipment, dramatically upgrading the school’s playground areas. The company provided one large feature-packed traditional Playcraft playground structure, a medium-sized Playcraft Revolution play structure, and multiple freestanding play activities. For Pacific Play who is also based in North County San Diego, the project was an exciting opportunity to work alongside a local elementary school, displaying one of the company’s signature high-quality lines of equipment by Playcraft Systems.
Both of the new playgrounds at Orange Glen have been designed and manufactured for children ages five to twelve with a strong level of challenge. The larger traditional Playcraft playground, the centerpiece structure for the school’s new play area, features a truly outstanding design. On one end of the structure, the play events include two Twister Slides, a Deep Rung Arch Climber and a Poly Climbing Wall, all connected to an eight-foot-tall Full Hex Deck. Two curved bridges lead away from this deck adding a flowing movement to the design and leading participants to other climbers with high levels of challenge. These include popular items such as the Terrace Climber and a Curved Rung Ladder Climber, both installed at a six-foot height. Additionally, an Inclined Arch Bridge creates a fun link between the middle of the playground and the smaller Full Hex Deck on the playground’s opposite end. Attached to this smaller deck are various climbers, panels, a unique Twist Climber and the standout Erector Rock Climber, a highly realistic rock climber. This large playground abounds with numerous play components and offers plenty of shade with two large Hex Canopies covering the playground’s two main decks and more!
Orange Glen’s second new playground offers an intriguing and unique counterpoint to the school’s main traditional structure. Featuring a custom design created from Playcraft’s Revolution line of equipment, the playground contains a strong emphasis on climbing with net climbers, a net wall and a variety of other climbers. This playground also contains two Gyro Pod Spinners, installed alongside two freestanding Playcraft Stand-N-Spins, yet another popular spinning event adding to the already action-packed layout.
In addition to the new playground equipment at Orange Glen, Pacific Play also provided two curved benches on the site to provide a quick break from all the play action! With the playground renovation at Orange Glen now complete, the school will offer students an incredible space for play, exercise, and fun!
