Indio Playground Equipment Renovation Project Completed by Pacific Play Systems for Desert Palms Apartments
Indio, CA Apartments Receive New Playground and Sports Equipment During Renovation Project by Pacific Play Systems. Leading San Diego County commercial playground equipment company, Pacific Play has just completed the installation of its latest Indio playground renovation project. Pacific Play’s new project was completed for the Indio Desert Palms Apartments located in Indio, CA. This large renovation project included the installation of a new composite Playcraft play structure, freestanding playground equipment, numerous swings, a variety of sports equipment, safety surfacing, and more…all provided by Carlsbad based Pacific Play Systems.
Designed for children ages 2-12, the new playground at Desert Palms Apartments is a custom-designed Playcraft play system, Pacific Play’s signature line locally manufactured on the west coast by industry leader, Playcraft Systems, formerly known as Krauss Craft, Inc. The new playground contains an extensive list of popular play components expertly designed by Pacific Play’s design team. The playground’s wide variety of slides and climbers is a particularly striking aspect of this design. The playground contains a Poly Wave Slide, Poly Double Slide, Twister Slide, Poly Double Wave Slide, 4’ tall multicolored Disc Climber, Deep Rung Arch Climber and Deluxe Grip Climber. The popular “Burma Bridge”, which connects the two main decks of the Desert Palms’ playground, is an extremely narrow 4’ tall Play-Tuff Coated perforated metal bridge that brings a strong sense of adventure and excitement to the play environment. At ground level, an Inclusive Driver Panel and an Open Store Panel offer imaginative play opportunities for the younger set and two ground-level Play Seats and a couple of freestanding Spinner Seats add even more play value to the Desert Palms’ design.
In addition to the new play structure at Desert Palms, Pacific Play furnished and installed four new bays of Playcraft Single Post Swings, for a total of eight new swings. 215 cubic yards of new engineered wood fibers were brought into the site to provide safety surfacing for the new play area. Furthermore, the Desert Palms renovation project also included the furnishing of a variety of new sports equipment including two new complete basketball systems (making for one full court), one complete volleyball court and a new aluminum junior-sized soccer goal. Finally, Pacific Play’s expert installation team provided full installation of all new playground equipment and completed extensive demolition work at Desert Palms. This work included the demolition, hauling, and disposal of the site’s existing older play structures including concrete footings, and a number of existing swing sets.
