As your playground consultant, we begin your project by meeting with you to discuss your vision for the site. During this meeting, we also ask you about any site conditions we should be aware of.
Last fall, a customer requested an urgent site visit. They had met with three playground companies before they reached out to us. During our meeting, the private school owner showed us examples of playgrounds she was interested in, and then we walked the site.
There were a few challenges we had to address prior to beginning construction. There were four types of existing surfacing that had been in place for almost fifty years. We were unsure of the condition of the existing base. There was a large, gorgeous, tree in the middle of this site. Removing the tree would reduce the shade coverage, but also lose a beautiful aesthetic that was incorporated into their play area. We had to provide a solution to win this job.
Fortunately, our customer was willing to join me for an online Zoom session as we designed the play site. We incorporated a seamless design on the surfacing to create a pleasing, inviting, and safe play area for her kiddos. We preserved her tree by constructing a low mow curb. The rubber surfacing was poured seamlessly into the curb for support.
To ensure the equipment satisfied her needs, we allowed the owner of the school to assist in the design process! She used remote access to our computer screens, and picked out components and colors. Our project manager offered oversight to ensure compliance. The school owner fell absolutely in love with the final design.
For our customer’s comfort, we ensure renderings demonstrate the scope we intend to construct. Check out the renderings of their site! We can submerge our equipment into the surroundings to give you insight of the colors, layout, and scale of equipment. .
We were invited to their Christmas Special, where the owner surprised her kiddos with their holiday gift, a new playground! This was such a special celebration for the school, and we felt so lucky to be in attendance. The kiddos screamed and danced with cheer.
