San Marcos Playground Equipment Project Completed By Pacific Play Systems at Woodland Park

The City of San Marcos playground equipment renovation at Woodland Park has just been completed by San Diego commercial playground equipment company, Pacific Play Systems, Inc. The scope of work for this project included the removal of the old play equipment and its replacement with Playcraft’s state-of-the-art custom Hybrid Revolution play equipment. Additionally, the existing engineered wood fibers surfacing at the play area was topped off with a new layer of engineered wood fibers to give it a brand new look. Woodland Park is located on Woodland Parkway in San Marcos, California.

The new playground design at Woodland Park consists of a 5-12 age group Hybrid 5” OD Playcraft steel structure loaded with climbing activities, overhead traverses, three slides, spinners and two large hexagon shaped roof canopies. This colorful structure offers an array of challenging components, ideal for promoting vigorous play building physical fitness. “I’ve never seen so many children playing with so much energy and joy at a playground, even long after dark,” says Elizabeth Bemanian, Vice President of Pacific Play Systems, who has been to the park several times since the installation of the new equipment.

The newly designed San Marcos playground equipment project at Woodland Park has been fully packed with children and their parents ever since the re-opening of the park in early January. With the addition of the new equipment and extra swings, the park gets so much use that it is difficult to find a parking space anywhere near the park on weekends and holidays. This popular location also draws a lot of visitors from the neighboring communities.

Aside from the new 5-12 structure, other aspects to this project included the installation of a 2-5 Playcraft structure with age-appropriate components for the younger children, a climbing wall for the older children, a bucket spinner and six arch swings for children of all ages. The additional swings, the unique Revolution climbing components, and spinners have all been a big hit according to Bemanian who has been very familiar with the park over the years.

Serving the greater Southern California commercial playground equipment market and specialized in doing turnkey projects, Pacific Play Systems designs and builds user-friendly recreational spaces for children of all ages from the Mexican border to Los Angeles and beyond. Pacific Play Systems also designs and builds splash pads, water parks and offers designs for inclusive playgrounds for special needs children.
