San Marcos playground renovation completed by Pacific Play Systems, Inc. at Valley View Park

City of San Marcos playground renovation project at Valley View Park has just been renovated by local Carlsbad based commercial playground company Pacific Play Systems. Valley View Park, located on the west side of Santa Fe Hills, is a popular neighborhood pocket park for local San Marcos residents offering abundant shade from its many trees, picnic tables, an open grass area for games like Frisbee and soccer and a large circular play area. With the park’s existing playground showing signs of wear and tear, the City of San Marcos decided it was time for replacement. As it has done in the past, the City, once again, partnered with Pacific Play to furnish and install a new Playcraft playground, freestanding play activities and safety surfacing, and to complete a variety of site work.

The newly installed San Marcos playground equipment at Valley View Park was custom designed by expert designers at Pacific Play and Playcraft Systems. Designed for children ages 5-12, the playground features a unique and attractive color scheme based on blue, tan, and red, combined with colorful flashes of lime green and purple. The playground also contains an attractive blue hex shade canopy towering above the playground’s main hex deck providing sun and heat protection. Additionally, the new Valley View playground features a variety of popular playground components. Some of these events include a rope net climbing wall, 6’ high Dual Express Slide, 6’ high Twister Slide, arched monkey bars, 360 degree spinning Gyro-Capsule Spinner, and much more!

In addition to the new playground, new Playcraft Arch Swings and a freestanding Tri-Spring Fling were provided. The Tri-Spring Fling represents an exciting and fresh take on the classic playground activity…the Seesaw. This popular item is a spring-driven seesaw that children use standing up rather than seated and is designed for three children to play at once. Furthermore, the component’s quality Playcraft construction featuring a durable metal body, heavy-duty springs, and large roto-molded plastic handles and foot rests make this activity a great choice for any heavy-use park playground!

For the San Marcos playground equipment project at Valley View Park, Pacific Play Systems also topped off the site’s existing safety surfacing with new wood fibers, provided full installation of all playground equipment, performed a CPSI playground audit and report and completed a variety of site work. The site work completed included the demolition and hauling of Valley View’s old playground, removal and subsequent re-installation of existing wood fibers, and removal and hauling of excess mulch and other material obstructing the play area. With this project now complete, this popular San Marcos park is now open for summer fun offering new play and recreational opportunities to its local residents.
