Pacific Play Systems Installs Multiple Play Systems, Safety Surfacing, Site Furnishings, and More at Korean United Methodist Church of San Diego
Pacific Play Systems’ latest church playground equipment project for the Korean United Methodist Church of San Diego is its most recent project and one of several projects that the Carlsbad company has recently completed in its local San Diego area. Other recent projects include the new Walker Park playground for the City of San Diego, Frazier Park Apartments, the YMCA In Encinitas, and multiple new playgrounds for the Hunt Corporation at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.
For the Korean United Methodist Church of San Diego, Pacific Play installed two new Playcraft Play Systems, new fencing around the play area, and new wood fibers surfacing for its playground. Both playgrounds were custom designed by Pacific Play and Playcraft designers, and feature a natural color scheme of green, tan, and brown. The larger of the two new playgrounds have been designed for children ages 5-12 and includes a large variety of play components such as 5′ and a 6′ “twister” slides, a 6′ “freeform” climber, pyramid rooftops, a “store” panel, a “memory” panel, and more. The second playground has been designed for children ages 2-5 and features a “quarter-turn” slide, a “straight” slide and a “spiral step” climber, among other components.
In addition to the playground equipment and site furnishings, the scope of work for this project also included extensive site work completed by Pacific Play and installed by American Parks Specialties. Site work included the removal and hauling of existing grass, dirt, bushes, and part of a concrete sidewalk, as well as grading of the play area and installing new security fencing.
